Extrait du livre There was an Old Woman (Who Lived in a Shoe)
There was an old woman who lived in a shoe. She had so many children, she didn’t know what to do.
She gave them some soup without any bread;
Then kissed all their noggins and put them to bed.
"What will I do?” the old woman thought. “When the wee ones get bigger and need their own cot?”
“I better start working and save up some loot.” And that’s just what she did, so they moved to a boot!
“This boot is quite roomy," her crew of kids said. “Now there are just six of us sharing one bed.”
“Six in one bed, that never will do. I’ve bought the right boot, now I’ll buy the left, too!"
So the woman kept working and saving some more.
And eventually, she bought them the left boot next door.
Now, they’re happily living in the two boots down the street, but if the family keeps growing they may need more feet!
