Caillou - the road trip
One Saturday morning Mommy and Daddy decided it would be a great day for a drive. “Where are we going?” Caillou asked. “Oh, I don’t know. We’ll just drive and see what we can find,” said Daddy. Caillou thought it was a little strange not to know where they were going. He wondered what they would find.
Once they got on the road, Mommy said, “Let’s play a game. Let’s look for … a red barn.” It didn’t take long for Caillou to spot one. “There!” “Good. Now let’s look for … cows,” suggested Mommy. “Cows! Rosie see cows!” said Rosie. “Way to go, sweetie. Moooo-o-o-o!” said Daddy.
Soon it was time to stop for lunch and fill up the car with gas. “Gas is like food for the car,” said Daddy. Caillou giggled. “We’re going to have lunch, and the car is having lunch, too!” Suddenly, Caillou heard a loud horn blowing.
“Wow, look at that big truck! Can we go and see it?” said Caillou. “Sure, let’s go!” said Daddy. Caillou liked big trucks, and this one was really nice and shiny. Caillou pictured himself driving down a road and honking his horn.
