Extrait du livre Caillou - Learns to skate
"He shoots! He scores!" Caillou loved watching the hockey game on TV. "I want to be a hockey player," he told Mommy. "That's great," said Mommy. "But first you have to be able to skate."
Daddy built a skating rink in the backyard. He cleared all the snow off the ice. Mommy helped Caillou put on the new skates she bought for him. It was time for Caillou to learn how to skate!
Daddy held Caillou high in the air as they glided around the rink. Whee! Skating was fun! Daddy set Caillou down on the ice. "Now you have to stand on your own."
"The first thing to learn," said Mommy, "is gliding forward without falling down." The ice was slippery. When Caillou pushed his feet ahead, they started to glide. Skating was easy!
All of a sudden -- kaboom! Caillou landed on the hard, cold ice. Ouch! That hurt. "I don't like skating," said Caillou. "The ice is too hard."
Daddy brought a chair from the house. "Here, Caillou," he said. "This will help you stay up." Caillou held on to the chair as he glided along. This time he stayed on his feet. Hurray! Caillou was skating!
