Extrait du livre All Things Great and Small
God made the world so broad and grand, filled with blessings from His hand. He made the sky so high and blue, and all the little children, too.
May all I say and all I think be in harmony with Thee, God within me, God beyond me, Maker of the trees.
Dear Heavenly Father, hear and bless the beasts and singing birds, and guard with all Your tenderness small things that have no words.
He prays best, who loves best All things great and small; For our dear God who loves us, He made and loves them all. –Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772-1834)
The little cares that fretted me, I lost them yesterday, Among the fields, above the sea, Among the winds at play, Among the lowing herds, The rustling of the trees, Among the singing of the birds, And humming of the bees. The foolish fears of what might pass, I cast them away, Among the clover-scented grass, Among the new-mown hay, Among the hushing of the corn, Where the drowsy poppies nod, Where ill thoughts die and good are born, Out in the fields with God.
