L'Amazone, fleuve de la biodiversité

L'Amazone, fleuve de la biodiversité

The Amazon is an extraordinary river!

Firstly, it is immense, one of the longest in the world: it alone accounts for 18% of the fresh water flowing into the world’s oceans. With nearly a thousand tributaries, it flows through six countries and covers a third of South America!

Secondly, thousands of people have lived, worked and depended on it for millennia. Even today, scientists and archaeologists are discovering traces of these pre-Columbian civilisations. Their ways of life were always in harmony with nature. Without ever damaging it! What is the situation today? How has the arrival of Europeans and the exploitation of raw materials transformed the Amazonian landscape?

"L'Amazone, fleuve de la biodiversité" is available on Storyplay'r in an illustrated version, in an audio version narrated by french native storytellers.
