The Whale on Bus 29 evokes in a very warm and poetic way a little girl's view of a colourful and moving woman who has been sitting in front of her bus stop for a week. In the eyes of the little girl, this woman looks like a whale stranded on the sidewalk. In creating this story, in which one of the two characters is a homeless woman, the author succeeds in creating a very endearing book, rich in tenderness, poetry, imagination, humour and emotion. This album was awarded the 2015 Jérôme Main Prize at the Cherbourg Children's Book Festival.

Quand ils trouvent un coquillage portant l’inscription « Écoute-moi ! », Grand-père n’entend que la mer. L’enfant, lui, entend un poème. C’est une langue étrange qu’il ne connaît pas. Mais petit à petit, le poème est moins impénétrable pour cet enfant qui se laisse toucher et s’amuse à le traduire à son grand-père. Puis, viendra le temps d’écrire son propre poème.
