Little Panda dreams of blue Marie-Noëlle Gagnon Mathieu Giguère
In the middle of winter, it’s so cold I could freeze, so I close my eyes tight and imagine warm blue seas.
As I wade in the waves I see the blue that I love, from the water below me to the sky up above.
Deep in the ocean, as deep as you wish, blue dolphins and whales splash around with blue fish.
In the soft, floating clouds, a blue airplane soars high, but it’s nothing compared to this blue butterfly.
I’m stirred from my daydream by a lovely surprise: my friend Mila looking at me with her beautiful blue eyes!
As blue as the blue jay who, as you can see, lives in my yard in a nest in the tree.
As blue as the berries Dad uses to bake a treat we all love: sweet blueberry cake!
Even snow can turn blue at the end of the day, if the setting sun hits it in just the right way.
With all these warm thoughts, how could I stay blue? So I head to the ice rink, and all my friends do, too!
We stay out and we play ’til we see the blue moon and smile knowing summer will be back again soon.
